Getting Here
Getting to our BC fishing lodge is part of the adventure. Enjoy a scenic 45-minute flight via float plane from Vancouver or Victoria sea harbors. Up for a drive? Try the scenic Pacific Rim Highway from Port Alberni or take the picturesque 2.5 hour drive from either the Comox or Nanaimo airports to our pick-up-point at Secret Beach Campground near Ucluelet. Our team can answer questions to help you decide the best route for you.
Arriving at the Dock
You will be greeted by one of our friendly staff with a refreshment prior to checking in and kicking off your exciting stay with us at the West Coast jewel, Barkley Sound Lodge.
What to Bring
The West Coast climate can change dramatically throughout the day from cool to hot, dry to wet. So best to be prepared to fully enjoy the full unique experience. We highly recommend comfortable layered clothing (T-shirt, hoodie/sweatshirt, light jacket, jeans, shorts) including rain gear and waterproof footwear. In addition to clothing we recommend you bring the following items:
- BC Tidal Water Fishing License (including Salmon Conservation Stamp) – complete online and print
- sunglasses
- hat
- sunscreen
- toiletries and medications
- casual footwear
- hiking footwear if you wish to explore the trails
